When a large, powerful wind storm moved through northeastern Oklahoma during Father’s Day weekend, it left more than 200,000 PSO customers without power and left one of the largest amounts of greenwaste and storm debris the City of Tulsa has seen in over a decade.
The respective communications teams from PSO and the City of Tulsa faced an enormous challenge as they worked to provide accurate, timely updates to people who had no power and provided life-saving updates and information during a massive cleanup effort.
Join us Thursday, July 20, for an extraordinary opportunity to hear a panel of communications professionals talk about what it was like behind the scenes of this challenging storm restoration effort.
The panelists are:
Wayne Greene – PSO Region Communications Manager
Wayne Greene is a Region Communications Manager for Public Service Company of Oklahoma. He previously spent 34 years with the Tulsa World, including 14 years as city editor and seven as opinion pages editor.
Kathryn Roemer – PSO Region Communications Manager
