Join us for a Wednesday lunch as we hear from Clay Martin, NFL® referee and Athletics Director at Jenks High School. Clay will share insights from his unique career on how to stay composed, make clear decisions, and communicate effectively — even in the highest-pressure situations.

Speaker Bio:

Clay Martin has been officiating in the NFL since 2015. He entered the league as an umpire and was mentored by Ed Hochuli and Carl Cheffers. In 2018, he moved to the referee, or crew chief position. In addition to the NFL, Clay has been employed at Jenks Public Schools since 2003. He’s held various positions at Jenks including classroom teacher and assistant principal. He’s currently serving as the Director of Athletics. Additionally, he was the head basketball coach for 17 years leading the Trojans to nine appearances in the State Tournament as well as numerous conference, regional, and area championships. Clay has been married to his wife Shannon for twenty-seven years. They are the proud parents of two children; McKenzie (25) and Chase (22). A native Tulsan, Clay graduated from Nathan Hale High School and then from Oklahoma Baptist University. Martin earned a Master of Education degree from East Central University in Ada, OK.
