 Hear from those who have dealt with crises and difficult issues what they’ve learned about the importance of authentic communication. During a panel discussion, local experts will share their experiences and tips to ensure your communication is believed, trusted and valued.

Panelists include:
Jeremy Burton, Senior Director for University Relations and Communications at Oral Roberts University, who has led PR efforts for several crises during his more than 10 years at ORU. He oversees the marketing, public relations, video production, community relations and social media efforts for ORU. ORU was ranked as one of the top 100 social media colleges in the nation by Student Advisor. Prior to ORU, Burton was an account representative in the marketing department for Saint Francis Health System. He coordinated public relations and marketing efforts for various entities within the health system at different points in his tenure. 
 
Rebecca Greenbaum, Ph.D., Assistant Professor in the Management Department of the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University. Her research interests include behavioral ethics, dysfunctional leadership, organizational justice, and workplace deviance. Rebecca’s research has appeared in the Academy of Management Journal, Human Relations, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Management, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes.
 
Hannibal B. Johnson, Attorney, author, independent consultant and nationally known speaker. Johnson is a graduate of Harvard Law School. Johnson is past president of Leadership Tulsa, past president of the Metropolitan Tulsa Urban League. He directed Anytown, Oklahoma, a statewide human relations camp for teens, for more than a decade. Johnson served as Chairman of the board of directors of The Community Leadership Association, an international leadership organization. He is a founding director of the Oklahoma Appleseed Center for Law and Justice.
